Cookroom Production Operator/Cook

Our client, based in the SE suburbs is seeking a production employee for their dayshift Cookroom operations.

 

Our client maintains world best manufacturing practices and is dedicated to the marketing of safe, wholesome foods of a consistent high quality. Their products are available nationally and successfully exported to Asia and Europe.

 

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be accountable for the following but not limited to:

  • Preparation, cook/chop products
  • Quality checking & accurate document control
  • Stock rotation & use of rework
  • Record and return all unused ingredients
  • GMP/HACCP housekeeping and safety standards
  • Assist other areas if required, i.e., packing, inspection, stores
  • Machine operating and physical handling
  • Mixing ingredients/food handling/production/cooking

You must have a Certificate III in Food Processing or similar qualification and experienced as a food production operator/cook. You will be working in an environment that has strong herb/spice aroma, hot liquids/humid/wet surroundings/food spills.

 

This is an ongoing casual arrangement, Monday to Friday, with a view to permanent in the future. You must be available to commence work at 5am for most shifts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside a responsible attitude and admirable work ethic!
